If you come to Wentworth Falls by train (two hours travel from Sydney) walk to Wilson Park, across the highway from the township. Darwins Walk starts in Wilson Park and commemorates a visit from Charles Darwin in 1861, and follows Jamison Creek to the top of Wentworth Falls.Furber Steps-Scenic Railway Walking Track Head to the Blue Mountains National Park and take on the Furber Steps-Scenic Railway Walking Track. Descend down the steep Furber Steps and discover scenic views, waterfalls, birdwatching and more in astonishing Blue Mountains surrounds. At certain vantage points, the Three Sisters can be seen in light.The experience connects other previously lit areas, and has new lighting from the top of the Katoomba Falls Kiosk car park, around Reid’s Plateau and down to the Duke and Duchess lookout.All the lights turn on at dusk and flood lights are turned off at 10.30pm and path lights at 11pm.Glow Worm Tunnel The Glow Worms are located in an old rail tunnel 400 metres in length. Situated in the Wollemi National Park, close to Lithgow, the tunnel was originally constructed as part of the railway line to Newnes Kerosene Shale Works. The line was dismantled around the 1940s.The tunnel can be accessed from the Newnes Plateau ( about 40 kilometres from Lithgow). Good walking shoes and a torch are required for the walk through the tunnel.The glow worms found in the tunnel are the larvae of the fungus gnat. The blue glow of the larvae is the result of a chemical reaction in the body of the glowworm. The larvaes' glow lures their prey, such as mosquitoes, closer to them.The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah is the spectacular cool climate garden of the Royal Botanic Garden and Domain Trust. Located in the Blue Mountains, just 90 minutes from Sydney, the garden features thousands of plants from the southern hemisphere and around the world.At 1,000 metres above sea level, the Garden at Mount Tomah overlooks the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area and boasts stunning panoramic views.
